Your Questions About Yahoo Web Host
David asks…
What is the phone number for Yahoo Web Hosting Tech Support?
I have a website that’s hosted by Yahoo and I seem to have forgotten my password for putting into Sitebuilder when I want to make changes to it. The phone number I have is outdated and no longer connects to them. I can’t even find a way to email them and that would be better than nothing, but I’d rather have immediate help from a phone call. Thank You Yahoo Folks!

Sorry you’re having difficulty getting in touch. The password for Yahoo! SiteBuilder is the same as your normal Yahoo! Password. If you’re having trouble logging in, please visit https://edit.yahoo.com/forgotroot/ to reset your Yahoo! Password.

Domain name and yahoo web hosting?
I have a friend who has a domain registered thru go daddy. He wants me to set him up a website. I was thinking about a year subscription to yahoo web hosting and getting that domain name swapped over. A few questions: How do I get the name over to yahoo ? Are yahoo‘s webpages ad free and can I you front page and upload to site ? Thanks for any info.
admin answers:
There’s no need to move the domain name to Yahoo… When you set up the web page, there will be instructions on how to point the domain name to Yahoo domain name servers (DNS). Just log into GoDaddy, set the name servers, and you’re good-to-go.
If you are paying for Yahoo hosting, then yes, it’s ad free. Not sure if they support FrontPage extensions for publishing anymore… FrontPage extensions are being phased out of most web hosts since Microsoft no longer supports FP extensions. However, you can still use standard FTP through FrontPage and accomplish the same thing.

How do I change my site address on Yahoo Web Hosting?
I tried to create a website using Yahoo Site Builder. When I got to the point where I was choosing my site name, I instinctively chose my login ID w/ “.com” on the end. Then I thought of a better name, but it wouldn’t let me change it. 1. Is changing it even an option? 2. If so, how?
admin answers:
I’m afraid that changing your site name in Yahoo! SiteBuilder is not an option. However, there is no need to worry: while the name you chose will be used by SiteBuilder to keep track of the site you build, it has no impact on your ability to publish to any domain name you like, nor will anybody but yourself even see the Yahoo! SiteBuilder site name.
I hope that helps. And if you ever need assistance with your Yahoo! Small Business service, you can get in touch with us 24/7 at https://smallbusiness.yahoo.com/contactus/.

Should I use Yahoo, Amazon, Ebay or somebody else to host my new web based retail sales company?
We plan to start selling Woman’s stockings on line in the very near future. I have started to explore web hosts and am looking for advise as to which service to go with first. My first concern is ease of getting started and entering all of the products as I would like to setup the site myself, second is the monthly cost of the web site as well as the cost for sales, third the best site for hits – I realize that I will have to attract visitors by buying some pop-ups or other attractions. Thanks for your input.

I suggest following webhosting , they are quite good.
Hostmonster https://anurl.com/?PQMRY
They offer hosting of “unlimited domains” and you will get massive webspace of 200000 MB (200 GB ). They only charge $4.95/month and they offer “a free Domain Name” and installing service called “Fantastico”. By using Fantastico, you could create own forum, photo gallery, shopping cart (e-commerce),your own auction site and your own blogs within few seconds. They also offer “Free Website Builder” as well.
Visit the site to check details.

Following site is quite good to register domains as price is reasonable with free privacy. Some charge about $5/ year just for free privacy.
