Your Questions About Web Host Reviews
Mandy asks…
Yahoo webhosting? What’s a good web host?
Every Top 10 Hosting Plans list I see is different. So those don’t offer much help.
Bluehost I’ve never heard of but keeps emerging as one of the best.
I’m currently using godaddy which I REALLY DISLIKE. It’s tortuous. Everytime you buy a domain, you’re blasted with screens of more options to buy crap. I dislike godaddy hosting.
I have about 8 domains and a hosting package currently on godaddy so if I switched I’d need to be able to transfer those.
I REALLY like yahoo’s search engine and answers! area, etc. But I am not sure about there webhosting.
Would need
— ecommerce (i’m going to be selling audio products, documents, and possibly video products from the site. So auto-downloading of a purchased product is a must (I know ejunkie offers that but that’s too small scale).
–Site analytics!!! I MUST have site analytics!
— domain transfer ease
–quality cPanel installs
— low cost etc.
Thanks. Bluehost was the top of this one list, so I may check them out.

Bye Bye Bluehost.
Customer for years… raised my rate without warning. Restricted number of emails I could send. Requested an increase and got the run around. Was told to write to someone in particular and they never wrote back or responded to any calls. POOR customer service so switched. Must be nice to be making enough $$ to not care about service anymore.

NOT UNLIMITED.
I just received the mail from BLUEHOST.com >>> It has come to our attention that your site is using an excessive number of files stored on your BlueHost.Com account. This is causing performance problems on your website as well as for other customers that are on this server. It can cause our servers to crash and cause additional downtime. Our reseach shows that server performance degrades when accounts have over 50,000 files. In order to ensure optimal performance for your account and the others in your shared hosting environment, we request that you reduce the number of files on your account to under 50,000 by 06/10/2009. you can set up Only 50000 files!!@@

What’s up with yahoo hosting? I’m interested in that.

John K …
I’ve used Yahoo web hosting ( https://bit.ly/cHSop ) for years, and am very pleased with it. Yahoo ISP offers great price, free domain name, unlimited disk space, unlimited data transfer, unlimited email storage, 24-hour customer service, reliable hosting, etc.
And save 25% here:
https://bit.ly/cHSop
They also offer everything you mentioned, I believe — ecommerce, analytics, transfers, etc.
Good luck!

David asks…
best web host for web designer?
I have been building lots of website templates and created myself a portfolio to display my work. Right now i’m using xtreemhost to host the portfolio because it free and i’m deciding what host I should buy. I see their are so many web hosts out their and with all mixed reviews. Anyone have any recommendations for a webhost that is $50 or less a year that is reliable? Thanks
admin answers:
Go with https://www.domaincityhosting.com because they have great prices and do not skimp on the features. I host several websites with them and all my clients are happy as can be. I got my Dr. To switch because with her old host it took over a half-an-hour to download a PDF form, now they take seconds (it was just unusable before, no one would wait that long).
