Your Questions About Domain Web Host
Paul asks…
How do I send web hits from my domain registrar to my web host?
I registered my domain with yahoo.com; my host is awardspace.com, a free provider. I don’t want to use yahoo’s forwarding (standard or masked).
So should I do one of the following:
Change the name server with yahoo?
Create an A or MX record?
Transfer the domain registration to awardspace?
Right now my domain could be www.mydomain.com and yahoo transfers it to mysubdomain.awardspace.com, which appears in the address bar. I’d like the final result to be www.mydomain.com, and ideally, I’d like to keep the registration with yahoo. Your suggestions would be appreciated.

Here’s the answer to your question, from the FAQ at awardspace.com:
1. What should I do in order to use my already registered domain name with your web hosting service? [Click to see answer]
To set up the domain with us, add the domain through the Domain Manager section, contact your current registrar and set our DNS ( see DNS below).
You should set your domain name to use our DNS (domain name servers) and/or IPs below in order to have your domain resolving and working with our system. Our name servers are:
ns1.awardspace.com [70.86.228.147] ns2.awardspace.com [64.69.36.238] ns3.awardspace.com [70.86.228.148] ns4.awardspace.com [64.27.0.198]
George asks…
Domain web hosting for a non-profit?
I’m looking for a web domain host for two non-profit organizations. Are there any quality hosting companies which provide reasonable cost service to non-profits? Thanks!
Although I am looking for a reasonable cost, it does not have to be free. I do want consistent, quality service so I don’t have to spend time on anything but maintaining the sites. I have been hearing some good things about WebMonster, but not familiar with them. Thanks!
admin answers:
If you like to create two non-profit organizations , then go for multidomain hosting where you could host many sites under one account.

Michael asks…
What are the best websites that offer FREE domain and web hosting?
Please tell any of such websites that you will recommend to me, as we are both enthusiasts on web building. I want some sites that are easy to manipulate. My major point is to find these sites that just let users make the html file and NOT some sort of dragging elements here and there. And they just let make our html while they are to host them. Thank you.

Linda asks…
I have a web host and a domain name. I also have an html file I would like to publish. How do I publish it?
Publish meaning put it onto the web server (I have the IP address)
Thanks! I used the FTP Client.
admin answers:
Connect to your host server via FTP client, upload your HTML file, point your browser to yourdomain.com/filename.html.
There are plenty of FTP clients to download.
