Your Questions About Christian Web Host
Helen asks…
What’s the difference between anti-feminist groups?
What if anything are the differences between all of the different anti-feminist groups, other than they dislike and/or despise and/or hate feminism?
-There are Men’s Rights Activists who say they are against feminism, like angryharry, the web site so many MRA’s rely on for support and guidance, that also happens to rant about the evils of feminism, and women in particular: https://www.angryharry.com
AngryHarry’s ranting about the so-called “lies” of feminism: https://www.angryharry.com/notefeminismforstudents.htm
-There are anti-feminist pro-traditional family values groups, like the American Family Association, who are known for organizing boycotts against sponsors of TV shows with “anti-Christian” messages and ideas, or against companies it claims support the so-called “homosexual agenda” or marriage equality: https://www.afa.net/Detail.aspx?id=31
-There are anti-feminist religious Christian groups, like Pat Robertson’s Christian Coalition for America, who thinks”if Americans go back to arranged marriages, divorce will decline” 700 Club, 0214/00: https://www.cc.org/about_us
-There are anti-feminist right-wing political groups, such as Landmark Legal Foundation, In February 2007, LLF nominated right-wing talk show host Rush Limbaugh for the Nobel Peace Prize, calling him the “foremost advocate for freedom and democracy in the world today.” Limbaugh serves as an unpaid member of Landmark’s Board of Advisors. No conflict of interest there..LLF has targeted the National Education Association, Emily’s List, and evil US federal agencies, like the US Fish and Wildlife Service: https://www.landmarklegal.org/DesktopDefault.aspx?tabid=14
Since feminists are often referred to as Nazi’s, it seems only appropriate to discuss the 800+ US hate groups, who also have a very low opinion of feminists, as well as women, non-whites, Jews, and gays and lesbians. How different are they from other anti-feminist groups beliefs (other than they like to use violence)? Some popular hate groups are neo-Nazi’s, the Klan, Skinheads, Christian Identity, and Neo-Confederate groups, that are being tracked by the Southern Law and Poverty Center: https://www.splcenter.org/intel/map/hate.jsp
What’s the difference between anti-feminist groups?
So there’s no issues that anti-feminist groups are for? They’re just against feminism?
admin answers:
The differences are probably as wide as the differences between various people who object to feminism for various reasons. I’ve been called anti-feminist and I don’t object to the label though I don’t embrace it either because some of the anti-feminists are just knuckle dragging mouth breathing idiots, defenders of corporate interests hiding behind libertarian sounding rhetoric, slavering hate-filled fascists, religious zealots, and various other sorts I’d never wish to be associated with.
But feminist rhetoric often goes too far, legislation proposed and defended by feminists has been problematic, and feminists have actively worked to sabotage consideration of issues facing men (not that guys don’t do a damned good job sabotaging themselves and one another on many of those issues!). There really is a lot of hate in the feminist movement, though there’s a lot more unquestioning loyalty that refuses to condemn or even acknowledge the hate.
That doesn’t change the fact that a lot that feminists have fought for was good and just and needs to be protected. Nor does it change the continuing need for feminism (or something like it) in addressing the circumstances of women in the developing world.
EDIT
To your follow up, it depends on the anti-feminist group what issues they are for. They may have any number of broader platforms, religious, economic, political, personal. But to the extent that they are defined as “anti-feminist” and united under that rubric, then opposition to feminism would be their defining feature.

Are you influenced by Jon Stewart-yes or no, and why?
Jon Stewart Named 28th “Most Dangerous Liberal” in America
By Brian
Created Jan 10 2011 – 1:48pm
According to the popular conservative online news website Townhall, Comedy Central host Jon Stewart is the number 28 “most dangerous liberal [1]” in the country. Written by Townhall’s Executive Editor Chris Field, Stewart is a “radical liberal [2]” and part of George Soros’s progressive web. Stewart falls right below [3] Rev. Jim Wallis, the leader of the Christian social justice group Sojourners, who placed #27, but he’s seen as far more “dangerous” than Markos Moulitsas [4] of DailyKos (#40) and Rachel Maddow [5] of MSNBC (#44). While Field didn’t have any problems [6] with the Daily Show’s report by Aasif Mandvi on critics of the McDonald’s Happy Meals, Field slams [1] Stewart for purportedly persuading young voters into becoming progressives:
Political satirist Jon Stewart’s tongue is acid-tipped. His popular “Daily Show” program regularly slays elected officials for hypocrisy and self-importance, derides political buffoonery and skewers media excesses. More often than not, it’s bitingly hilarious and decidedly Left-leaning: a potent combination.
A 2007 media survey revealed that more than one-in-10 young voters relied on Stewart’s show as a primary source of political news — a share that has undoubtedly swelled since. It’s no small coincidence that voters aged 18-29 backed Barack Obama for president by a breathtaking 2-to-1 margin.
While acting as a formidable political opinion maker, Stewart inoculates himself against serious criticism by playing the “I’m just a comedian” card. This artifice has become known among conservatives as the Jon Stewart “clown nose on, clown nose off ” routine.
Laugh all you want. It works.
admin answers:
I am not a young voter and I am happy to have Jon Stewart speak for me in a way we did not have on TV years ago. We had acid-tongued George Carlin but he did not command the big audinece Jon Stewart has on cable TV. Jon Stewart is very astute but does not cross the line into becoming a political commentator. His entire premise is spoofing what really goes on in political life and pointing to the absurdity of establisment politics which he seems to believe is nothing more than a self-serving circus rather than a serious pursuit. He shows contempt for current electronic media which is absolutely not investigating and reporting the truth.

Why is Fox News the most trusted news outlet?
-12/08 Zogby poll on which is the most trusted TV news source: FoxNews 39%, CNN 16%, MSNBC 15%. The most trusted news personalities: Rush Limbaugh 13%; Bill O’Reilly 10%; Chris Mathews 2%. Web news is trusted more than TV and print, combined.
-1/27/10 Guardian: Nielson poll: “Fox most trusted news channel in U. S.”: Fox News 49%, CNN 39%, ABC 31%, CBS 32%, NBC 35%.
-1/10 Public Policy Poll, a Democratic leaning pollster, found that Fox News was trusted by more people than ABC News, CBS News, CNN, and NBC news.
-9/09 Pew poll, 1985 to 2009, on how public perceives media bias: 60 percent say the press is politically biased; 50 percent say it’s liberal; 22 percent say it’s conservative; 27 percent gave no answer.
-6/15/10: Rasmussen poll on who the media supported in ’08 election: 51% said Obama; 7% said McCain.
-11/4/10 Washington Post: Fox News Channel towered over its cable news rivals on election night, attracting more viewers than CNN and MSNBC combined.
Liberals trust liberal “journalists” like:
-Walter Cronkite, speaking at the UN in 1999: “It seems to many of us that if we are to avoid the eventual catastrophic world conflict we must strengthen the UN as a first step toward a world government.”
-Dan Rather, speaking on CBS Evening News, 6/17/87 : “Despite what many Americans think, most Soviets do not yearn for capitalism or Western-style democracy.”
-Newsweek editor Evan Thomas calls Obama “God-like.”
-Big Media (BM) held back Gore’s Sex Poodle story for two years, Clinton ’s Lewinsky story for 9 months.
-Helen Thomas: “Jews get the hell out of Palestine.”
And will this mean anything to liberals?
-11/5/10: Keith Olbermann, MSNBC’s primetime firebrand host, has been suspended indefinitely for violating the ethics policies of his employer earlier this year when he donated to three Democrats seeking federal office, MSNBC announced Friday.
“I became aware of Keith’s political contributions late last night. Mindful of NBC News policy and standards, I have suspended him indefinitely without pay,” MSNBC President Phil Griffin said in a statement.
Interesting, isn’t it, how NBC didn’t release this news until after the election? Why? Was it because Olberman was propagandizing for Democrats, 24/7, before the election?
And the Liberal media appear to speak with one, liberal, voice, everywhere:
-10/22/06 London Evening Standard: BBC CEO Grade caught on tape admitting that BBC is far Left, guilty of promoting Left-wing, anti-Christian, pro-Muslim views; promotes multiculturalism; gives no moral weight to America or rural folks; BBC Diversity Chief wants veiled female reporters.
-6/17/07 Daily Telegraph: The BBC has failed to promote proper debate on major political issues because of the inherent liberal culture of its staff, a report commissioned by the corporation has concluded. BBC director general Mark Thompson told the right-of-centre Spectator magazine that there was an institutional bias when he joined the organisation, reinforcing the findings of a 2007 internal report which concluded that greater efforts were required to avoid liberal bias. “In the BBC I joined 30 years ago, there was, in much of current affairs, in terms of people’s personal politics, which were quite vocal, a massive bias to the left,” Thompson said.
At least British liberals are honest enough to admit their biases.
admin answers:
Trust is earned by day-to-day observations, as compared with historical facts. The historical facts show that all other “news organizations” have a liberal bias. The historical facts show that fox, while having a conservative bent, does present other viewpoints.
Besides, liberals hate Fox. What better reason to watch them?
