Help with Yahoo web hosting ordering by credit card please?

Downloaded yahoo site builder.
Spent 3 months building site.
Tried to pay Yahoo web hosting online using a British visa debit card.
Yahoo says “there is a problem with payment details, please ring customer care number in America”.
I ring the number to be told that the credit card must be United States based for dollar payment and that a UK visa card is no good.
Anyone got any ideas what i can do apart from shoot myself.
I have spent over 100 hours working on this site and to be honest I think the chap i spoke to is 2 butties short of a picnic

Well, I don’t think all of your work is lost. If you can preview the web site in your browser or look at the code through site builder, then you still have your HTML. You can use that code in any other program and keep your site the way it is.

Do they take PayPal payments? You should be able to convert the currency with that.

I bought a domain through YAHOO! Web Hosting and created a email though it; usually I logged on my normal email and on the left panel, I could choose to check my email for my yahoo email. Now, when i click to check to other email a blank screen shows up and the screen returns to the previous screen!

First you need to buy a domain name from a place like Godaddy.com If you want to get better placement in google search result then buy a domain which has your keyword in it. In your case “Carolina Crime Library”.There are soo many free hosting services but you need to find a good one to host your domain. 000webhost.com is a good place I use Frihost.com which is like a paid host. Just has to stay active in their forum so u don’t have to pay anything at all.

Then comes getting your site indexed in search engines like Google and yahoo. This is called search engine optimization aka SEO. Better search Google about this and read few articles. Also webmasters forums can help a lot.
