what’s the best web host you’ve used?
alright so, I’m really into writing and expressing myself and keeping everyone up to date with everything. i used to just write it all out on a magazine site, but i think it’s time i have my own website.
it’s basically going to be a magazine website, it will have a lot of topics on it such as entertainment & reviews, fashion, technology, and a lot of other things. I’ve practically created the entire thing and I’ve thought up a domain name.
thing is, i have NO idea where i should get my hosting?
i’m not looking for things like blogger, xanga or any other blogging sites.
my site’s going be sort of like www.perezhilton.com
except without the celeb gossip..& w/ alot more going on w/ more useful topics that everyone will find helpful
anyone know any good webhosts? with no ridiculous random upgrades you have to pay for and no downtimes & traffic almost 24/7?
i just need to know what webhost is the best choice

Looking for a good web hosting company?
I am looking for an new hosting company after the horrible experience I am having with my current one.
I am really interested in company offering a reliable uptime and support. My sites relies heavily on database and so on. I narrowed down my search so far to Hostmonster and Hostgator and BlueHost, but there are mixed reviews about all of over the net. Any Advice or experience offered in this domain will be much appreciated?

Will anyone purchase a domain name and pay to transfer it to my web host if I do a full partnership?
I have a website with the url of www.baseballnetwork.ning.com
Its a pretty good site that has gotten pretty good reviews, but whats holding me back is my lack of a domain name. This is a side hobby, just for fun, and I will not pay for a domain name. If anyone will agree to pay the transfer fee and the x amount of dollars for the domain name I will place their name into the title or do a huge advertising plan with their company name/logo at the top of my page. The site is fairly new and I haven’t spent a great deal of time working on it but if i can get a domain name I would be willing to put a lot of time towards it. That seems like an awful lot of work. Are you aware that you can get a domain name for $10-$12 per year? I have several just-for-fun websites and I have domain names for them all. For around $1/month it’s hardly an expensive hobby.

its alot of space. I’m not very sure how a hosting company can provide such a very huge hosting space. chatters said there website is hosted 300gig for the website and pictures but I cannot confirm if its true. Top web developer web designers and web design company and firm will surely host in that server if they will have alot of space. very cheap web hosting and affordable ? I like the idea and if its relieble and 100% uptime. Overselling works at attracting first-time customers. There are lots of first-time customers out there, so hosts who oversell naturally have an advantage at attracting these types of customers.
So, in the short-term, overselling is a great business strategy. Long-time its not a bad strategy either, IF you can keep those first-time customers.
The trouble is that its very hard for oversold hosts to retain customers long term because overselling eventually leads to overloading, which leads to lots of upset customers.
NOT overselling is more likely to attract customers who’ve been burned by oversellers, who are knowledgeable and serious, and want a host with whom they can actually feel safe. These types of customers make up a smaller segment, however, so its only natural that hosts who don’t oversell as much are smaller.
The advantage to NOT overselling is that, frankly, its so much easier from the perspective of a host. You don’t have to worry about servers getting overloaded, you have a much more loyal customer base, you are more likely to get referrals, you have fewer support requests, and overall, a lot less stress. These benefits trickle down to customers as well.
Also many the hosting reviews sites and top hosters are there because they pay to be just go to the review sites click on advertising see for your self or they just affiliate links and google adsense links crazy but true.
Many unlimited space badwidth hosts also will kick you off if you are using too much cpu resources etc.
