i use ms frontpage for my windows platform web site i host, how do i set a folder permission to the”read” stat
i want others to go to my site at www.blabla.com/list and they will see the folder i called list as a share folder where they can download files from.
i dont want it to be a html page, just the cheesy folder view that i’ve seen on other sites.

To set a folder permission to the”read” stat” you right click on the folder WHILE you are looking at it FROM YOUR FTP program. I think.

then do just like you mentioned, have all the files in the folder called “list” at www.blabla.com/list then DO NOT include an “index” file in the folder and just give the the
link www.blabla.com/list and it should work..

Looking for a good and economic Web Hosting company for a family web page, any suggestions?
I would like to include pictures and a couple of videos in my web site. Normally, I use FrontPage 2003 to build web pages, would I be able to use that program with the plan you are suggesting or should I use their software?

I am making a website for valentines for my girlfriend. I know kinda gay but meh. Anyhow what would be a good web hosting place to host this? Going to be probably using dreamweaver or frontpage to upload so if it could be compatible with this that would be needed. I think its called FTP/PHP.

If you are having problem choosing a web hosting to use, I suggest you do the following:

2. Next, for each web hosting X, do a “X sucks” search on Google. Read some complaints and see if you may encounter the same problems like them. Some of the complaints may relate to certain groups of users only such as VPS, dedicated server users or resellers. So you may not be affected if you are not from these categories.
