Can I keep my web domain and change web host?
I’ve had a very bad experience with “Intuit” web hosting. For some reason, I haven’t been able to find the website “Get Texas Online” was supposed to give me for a year free. I registered a .com address with them, but I can’t figure out how to get to it or edit it. Whatever the problem is, I do not wish to stay with Intuit any longer. But I have already registered my company name with them, so, if I cancel my Intuit account, can I not transfer my domain name to a different web host? If I can’t, then what happens to the address if my account is deleted?
And if anyone knows something about the “Get Texas Online” business, please help. I think I’ve been screwed.

Make sure to transfer out the domain name BEFORE closing the account, you do not want to risk losing a domain name forever.

What is a good, easy and cheap web hosting domain site?
I wanted to create a website for a small business. I don’t know much about html, so i just a very easy to use and simple web site builder with the cheapest plan I can get. I don’t need anything fancy, just the bare basics of website building and a domain name for cheap. Any recommendations? 🙂

They all go through bad patches it seems but some are better than others. Try a few and use their 30 days trials.
Stay away from hostgator, bluehost, go daddy. I tried them all and they are a waste of time they deserve all the bad feedback they get.

Can somebody please give me the steps to link my domain name that I have registered with Register.com to my GoDaddy.com web host account?
Couldn’t find the instructions on either sites on how to do so.
