Your Questions About Domain Web Host

Mary asks…
where can i get a free domain and web host?

admin answers:
For a free domain check out dot.tk. You can get myname.tk for free there.
For web hosts just Google “free web hosting.” There are tons of free packages without ads!

Steven asks…
What is the best free web host with no ads for a registered domain?
I currently have a domain registered with GoDaddy.com, and was using their free hosting. I don’t like their banner at the top of my page.
Are there any sites that offer good hosting with no ads for free? I have seen lists from doing searches, but I was hoping to get some real people’s opinions.
Thanks in advance.

Donna asks…
How can I host a domain on my current web hosting domain?
I have a website of my own that im working on (www.budgetwebandgraphicdesign.com). I want to do a family member a favor and host their website on my hosting account, but I dont want to have the family member’s website to be a sub-domain of mine. Is there any way that I can purchase a domain name (without hosting) and set it up to where it is controlled by my current hosting account?
Answerer #2: Mike – Go play in traffic. Dont waste your time and mine by leaving stupid answers on legit questions. What a waste of skin you are.

admin answers:
You can get the domain at https://www.domaincityhosting.com
that includes free forwarding and masking. Where you put their website in a file on your plan then the domain automatically sends people their.
Or if you switch to one of their hosting packages you can host multiple domains on one account. Http://plans.domaincityhosting.com

Susan asks…
how do i build a site when i already have a domain names and web hosting?
I am currently trying to set up my own business and i bought a domain and web hosting yesterday from 123reg.co.uk. However, it told me to use filezilla to create my website but it just looks like a box to me and it makes no sense at all . Do i also need to purchase a web builder to actually work on my website or is the web hosting all i need. would it just be easier to get a professional to make the site for me . Any help greatly appreciated. Thanks
Leanne

Filezilla is an FTP (File Transfer Protocol) client program that allows you to upload files to your website’s server. It also supports a number of different protocols but I don’t think you need to worry about that at the moment. To connect to your site you’ll need a host name (typically your websites url) and a username and password that 123-reg should have provided you with when you joined. Although I won’t go into further detail about the program itself Filezilla provide a basic tutorial about how to get started using it at https://wiki.filezilla-project.org/Using
As for the web builder software, you do not need to purchase any software to build web pages you can simply jot down your code in a .txt file if you wanted (although I don’t recommend this as windows notepad program is terribly buggy). Two good programs you can download for free are Notepad++ (https://notepad-plus-plus.org/) and Eclipse (https://www.eclipse.org/) I’d recommend starting off with Notepad++ as the latter is a heavier development environment with numerous bells and whistles to play around with that might confuse you if your just starting off.
Development-wise I’m gathering you’ve never tried building a site before and have little or no web development experience; if this is the case I’d highly recommend getting a web developer in to build your site as learning web technologies can take a fairly long amount of time. However if you want to give learning web development a bash an authorative site for beginners would be w3schools.com.
Hope this helps 🙂
