Free web hosting questions?
I am looking to start a website for a large group and I will be using Joomla as my CMS. So I will need cPanel and preferably 2 mysql databases with enough bandwidth to handle maybe 40 people a day. We are testing out how useful/profitable this idea can be and if it works out and we make enough via ad sense or w/e we will be moving to a paid host. So here is basically what we are looking for.
1. cPanel
2. 2 mysql
3. acceptable bandwidth
4. Joomla friendly
5. Ad Free
6. Acceptable file size/quantity limit.
7. Anything I may be forgetting that you notice.
I have tried 2 suggested free hosts 1 was 000webhosting who cut off the file uploading after I installed and replaced 2 versions of joomla (im learning joomla was looking at the different versions 1.5 1.6 1.7) and another one that I believe was x10 or something that wont allow me to use it because I am from the US.
Most of the similar questions on here get answered with a “try this paid host its great and under 5$” we will be switching to a paid host once we make sure this is something we want to get into and that it can pay for itself. Until thats proven we need something to familiarize ourselves with joomla over the next couple of months.
In response to the first post. We want to get an idea of the initial traffic too see if this is even viable and I have a few other people involved. For the second post I clearly said I already tried 000webhosting.
