Web Design and Web Hosting Companies Durango, CO and National/Global?
I am doing some research on web design companies and web hosting companies both in the Durango, Colorado area as well as national or global companies. I would like to know if they are using either local or national/global providers as well as what their rates are.

Basically, search out “web hosting” on Google and check out the top 10 hosts. The major comprehensive web hosting companies are very competitive and affordable. But make sure their servers are here in America.
Why? Because Americans don’t like buying from companies where their personal information may be sitting around on a foreign server. It’s just makes sense- that if you are in business in the US you should host your site in the US. Consumers like being under the protection of the FTC and even though that doesn’t guarantee against fraud or identity theft- it at least makes it easier to reconcile customer complaints and fraud (in the customers mind). For companies like BlueHost, FatCow, etc. how much does it cost per year when you have two domain names. They seem to be cheap but are there any HIDDEN FEES?
The price they give on the Internet is it per month or per year?

Web hosting doubt – can i host my website with an entirely new company?
I have a web domain bought from 123-reg.co.uk .Can I host this website with an entirely different web hosting company- what are the formalities to do so? Are there any free web hosting companies available? If so what are they?

Yes.
All you need to do is get a hosting package from some host then point your domain name to the DNS (Domain Name Server) of your new host. They will give you the IP’s of their servers when you sign up.
Through 123-reg:
sign in > view domains > choose domain > change nameservers
Then put the IP’s given to you into the input boxes. Your host will give you at least 2 IP addresses

what are tax implications for non-resident companies using a US based web hosting company? Income tax?

None, at least not in the US.
If the hosting company is run by someone not familiar with working with foreign companies they may try to demand a US Tax ID number from you but you don’t have one and are not required to get one.
