Buying a domain name, just gives you exclusive ownership of that name. Like www.RobertG.com. It doesn’d do too much good to own the domain name if you don’t have a website place for it. That’s what a web host does. I use GoDaddy (for seven years). First you can see if a domain name is already take, then you can buy it through GoDaddy. Then you can purchase hosting service through GoDaddy. So that you have a server for your web site.

I’d like to create a web domain, and I’ve been trawling the internet trying to find a place where I can host my site, ad-free with a MySQL database, and create a domain.
