I recently acquired Yahoo! Small Business’ Web Hosting Starter Plan, and I was wondering if it’s okay to use my Google Adsense account with it and display some ads on my upcoming site hosted by Yahoo!… thanks! 🙂

Yes you can definitely use Adsense with paid web hosting, even if it is Yahoo
What Adsense forbids in their Program Policies https://www.google.com/adsense/support/bin/answer.py?answer=48182 is that you do not show ads that mimic the look of Adsense

If you have a site, Google will probably find it eventually but to speed things up you can submit it yourself with https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/. That doesn’t cost a thing but you need a gmail account. You can manually submit it like this to most any search engine or use a submission tool like https://www.webceo.com/ – I use the free version all the time, it submits to multiple search engines at once. It will let you enter keywords and a description as well. (Keywords could be it’s own question!). Yahoo hosting shouldn’t effect your google rankings although perhaps it helps your yahoo ranks. My total adsense income was about $90 last year. I’ve paid way more than that in web hosting and domain fees. Can I write off web hosting and domain charges and post a loss?

I don’t agree with what Jules said – I don’t think Google will find out or bother caring about you sharing how much you make with it. Maybe just don’t put it right on one of your web sites that has adsense.
