Your Questions About Web Host For Frontpage
Betty asks…
Online Website Design Templates Without Hosting?
I’ve already purchased my domain and already have web hosting.
I need to design a website though, and I would like to do this online and then upload it to my web hoster (or download the template and then upload.)
The problem is: every site I see online to ‘create your own website’ is part of some package to host the site there as well (wix.com for instance).
I just want to design a site and upload it.
I am only familiar with FrontPage.
I would love to find a site where I can pay to design it online and simply upload it to my web hosting company.
Or at least find a nice Front Page Template I can download and play with.
Any ideas?
Thanks!

First of all Create your website using Front Page of any other media you like. Change the name of your home page to index.html or index.htm. I think there may a file manager for all web hosting companies. I am using hostgator for all my hosting need. To look the file manager inside host gator see picture below
Upload all your inside your hard disk there. That is All !!
I recommend you to try hostgator, it is very simple and customer service is very good.

How to get a text box and submit button to work as a searh box in html?
I know basic html (just enough to use an html editor and copy code to a web host like webs.com).
I have a website and I am tiring to add a search box to it so people can search the web. I have already created a text box and a submit button.
What I want is: when you type something in the text box and hit submit, it automatically takes you to Google and searches for what you just typed in. Without you having to type anything in Google’s search box.
Here is the code I have so far:
_________________________________________________________
_________________________________________________________
I have tried dreamweaver, frontpage, and pagebreeze but they all seem to be giving me the same options. Please let me know how I can make this happen. Or if I need something other than a text box and submit button, please let me know. Thanks!
admin answers:
Well, you have to tell it that you want to submit the value of the textbox to Google. It doesn’t know anything unless you tell it. You’re missing part of the form. Whenever you have an , you also need a
– There should be NO name= attribute of the submit button
– All tags should either have a closing tag, or be self-closing (… OR but NOT just )
– Never use the bgcolor= attribute. Instead use CSS (style=”background-color: #ffffff”)
– Only use
tags for actual paragraphs of text. If you want to just logically separate the page, you should also use
tags.

I’m using x10hosting and my website won’t appear. Help!?
I’m quite a beginner when it comes to website building. I’m using x10hosting as my web host and i’ve just uploaded the website i made in microsoft publisher. The files were of course published into htm files in order for the internet to be able to read the pages. When i opened my file manager and uploaded everything in my public html folder, the web pages still won’t show. I didn’t touch the vti folders since I don’t think i need it because i didn’t work on any frontpage.
So what do you think could be the problem? HELP!
here’s the URL of the site i’m working on: https://www.ammconsultancycorp.com
admin answers:
Could you supply a URL to your website, so I / we can help you further…
Edit – thanks for the URL:
It looks like the registrar you used to get the domain with is very slow at updating (or perhaps the payment hasn’t gone through properly?). See https://who.is/whois/ammconsultancycorp.com/
Check to make sure payment went through properly, and that the transaction completed successfully. Otherwise, you’ll need to wait for a max 48 hours after purchasing the domain for it to be correctly set up. If you’ve already waited this long, let me know.

What is a good shopping cart software to use?
I know there are a lot of shopping carts out there. Here is the deal.
1) I already have a web site and a host.
2) I have a paypal account. I am going to use paypal to accept credit cards.
I just need a low cost shopping cart software that has shipping options, taxes, old / new product prices, unlimited products and looks good and not cheap looking.
I do not know html. I use Frontpage 2003 to build my web site. I just need a shopping cart software that will have a nice looking format already setup to add my products.
Note: I am not offering files to download. I am selling Herbailfe products. If you are aware of someone already having a shopping cart setup for these products and willing to hook me up, then please let me know.
