I would not trust any of these types of sites, I find the best hosting service for price and quality is http://www.hostmonsterplus.com and which is why I’ve been using them for the last 4 years.
They have unlimited space and transfer.
They give you a free domain for life.
They have php and mysql if you ever use those.
You can also add as many domains (.com, .net, …) as you like so you can have many different sites for 1 hosting price.
They also give you free $50 Google Credits for advertising your site.
If you go with them and have any trouble making your site feel free to PM me, I have a lot of experience there.
Whatever you choose, the best luck to you.
Mary asks…
Which web hosting company should I pick?
Wow, how confusing. I am new at all this. I want to have a website that is up all the time and I can take donations on it. That’s it. There are so many options, and so many negative reviews of every company. Which one should I use?
admin answers:
You won’t find many people unhappy with IX and if you pay in advance they are $5 a month

They’ll give you up to $150 ppc free advertising and free domains.
I join in with the ones unhappy about Bluehost, but there are many more bad ones which I won’t mention.
Richard asks…
has anyone used iPage as a web host?
I need to upgrade a client’s website for more disk space. The client doesn’t want to pay more than $50 a year for hosting, they currently have their website hosted by t35.com, which is great for a free site but we need more disk space to upgrade the quality of all of their pictures.
Has anyone used iPage as a host before? I’ve heard good things about them but would like to get a review from someone who’s actually used it as a host before…
Any info you could give me about it would be great! (Especially if it supports Dreamweaver.)
Thanks in advance!
admin answers:
For that price I recommend either iPage or FatCow.
They both work great, and they probably offer even more features than he needs (Dreamweaver is supported of course).
Since they are old (in web terms), well established hosting companies their support is pretty good as is their reliability. Both offer money back guarantees.
As for the price, the iPage is $2 cheaper at the moment ($42/year).
